Reyna on King is the “cool kid” on the block. Designed as a lunch spot during the day, at night the lights go down and the cocktails start flowing. The evening snack and cocktail bar attracts guests looking for fun snacks, eccentric cocktails while listening to 90’s hip hop tunes in the coolest vibe on King East, just steps from the historic Toronto Distillery District.

Pan-Mediterranean restaurant Reyna on King may be popular for brunch and lunch, but it's especially alluring at dusk, when its big wraparound windows glow, lantern-like. Inside, a lush canopy of greenery hangs over the long dining room and bar, making it easy to channel Andalusia over a fizzy Sevilla Spritz and a plate of cauliflower croquettes.

With some help from her contractor, Laborie designed the room herself, decking out the previously dark room in copper, rose gold and lush greens. Two giant windows open out to the street, giving the illusion of a patio, and hanging overhead is a realistic-looking jungle of artificial plant life.

Reyna on King was originally supposed to be a strictly daytime affair, the concept eventually evolved to include cocktails and small plates in the evening. Though a couple Reyna staples like savoury lamb baklava and shoestring fries with a variety of toppings carried over from the original, the KinG St. menu is almost entirely new.
